Loch Etive Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project

The Loch Etive Integrated Coastal Zone Management Project, put on hold several years ago, will be restarted this year.
The first public meeting will be at the Connel Village Hall on Tuesday 26 January 2010, from 7 to 9pm.
The aim of the ICZM project is to develop an Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) Plan for Loch Etive which provides guidance on the future use and development of this important coastal area.В

The project area includes all of Loch Etive extending west of the Connel narrows to include Ardmucknish Bay and Dunstaffnage Bay.

The purpose of the public meeting is to present an overview of the ICZM project and its aims, discuss the likely format and content of the Loch Etive ICZM Plan and to provide an update on what work has already been undertaken and details of the proposed process and timetable for taking the project forward.В

Please get in touch with the Community Council for a more detailed agenda.

Meeting records from previous Loch Etive ICZM meetings can be viewed at

It is expected that the Loch Etive project will follow similar development as the completed Loch Fyne plan which can be seen at http://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/lochfyne
