Airport meetings, and future

It is great to see in the press that talks are ongoing with investors to ensure the future of the Oban Airport flights to the islands.

It is also interesting to see that some politicians have thought it worthy of visiting to meet up with managers at the airport recently, who were able to report on their plans for expansion.

From the Press and Journal : Scottish Liberal Democrat leader Tavish Scott was at the airport with Argyll and Bute MP Alan Reid for talks with airport manager Barry McCaig about the financially-troubled Highland Airways.

What a shame said politicians did not think to include the local community representatives in such meetings, especially as they have been so involved in all the past developments, and any changes to the airport will directly affect this community.

One might wonder how many other airport users and experts in the locale they chose to talk to??
