Benderloch pupils could end up in prison

The talent of Lochnell Primary School youngsters was tested this week as Inveraray Jail staff visited on their search across Argyll for 6 young actors to play child prisoners. The Jail puts on realistic performances through the summer and need a young lad who will be tried for stealing an apple from a market stall and a wee lassie who will describe the conditions in the cells.

If someone from Ardchattan is successful they will be following a number of others who ended up in Inveraray Jail for real in centuries past — see here for list of some of the past inmates from Bonawe, Benderloch, Ledaig and the rest of the parish.
