  • all things that are sheep and wool craft related.

Thursday 17th June 2010 WOOLFEST at  Local food and crafts market, Kintaline Farm, Benderloch 10 am – 3 pm

  • Sgioba Luaidh Inbhirchluaidh the renowned gaelic waulking singers.
  • Demonstrations throughout the day of
    • Sheep Shearing
    • Spinning
    • Felting
    • Dyeing
    • and more
  • Displays
    • of fleeces from different breeds,
    • breed information
    • horns
    • craft work
  • Lots of crafts and food for sale
  • freshly made refreshments from local sources, for lunch or tea – served all day.

  • Victory Hall, Benderloch 10 am – 4 pm
  • Craft courses : Felting, spinning, weaving, knitting and more.
  • Display of craft, spinning and wool related artifacts from the Hope MacDougall Collection
    • with fleece, breed information and crafts displays
  • Full performance from the renowned Sgioba Luaidh Inbhirchluaidh (Inverclyde Waulking Group)

    • An Evening of Gaelic Working Songs, particularly those which were sung by women waulking the tweed
    • Campbell Memorial Hall    7.30 p.m
