Public meeting on possible amalgamation of Ardchattan primary schools

at Lochnell Primary School – concerning the proposal to amalgamate Barcaldine School with 23 pupils, Ardchattan school with 5 pupils and Achaleven school with 9 pupils all to Lochnell.

Argyll and Bute Council are starting a Public consultation about amalgamating quite a number of local primary schools that are presently under 50% occupancy as part of their comprehensive budget review.

They want to hear from anyone who has any views, positive or negative, about the proposals and are organising a series of local public meetings.
