talking of awards ….

The Isle of Eriska has once again struck gold, and also has new members of their team to welcome to the area.

With Chay and Anna enjoying themselves FAR too much in Kenya, and Beppo recently married, Elizabeth Todd and David Morton have joined the team at Eriska to share the Eriska experience with more of us. Elizabeth has been busy in many ways, most accessibly on facebook – and just recently David has come to our wee corner of the world from Canada and seems to be making himself at home.

One of the latest prestigious awards that the hard working team at Eriska has won the accolade of Best Hotel Restaurant, beating out Hotel du Vin Glasgow at One Devonshire Gardens and the Michelin-starred Number One Restaurant at The Balmoral in Edinburgh.

a wee video – to get to know David http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsHJB-Kel-Q

The marvellous food of Chef Robert MacPherson, combined with the high level of service and
attention to detail that the Eriska team demonstrates every day to diners at the hotel, has garnered
Eriska this prominent award.
However, almost simultaneous with this, the new Eriska Sports Hall is nearing completion. The
substantial (10,600 sq ft/972 sq m) facility will allow sports enthusiasts to play football, tennis,
badminton or bowls (depending on configuration) and separate golf practice on indoor nets.
So, for those worried about piling on too many calories during a gourmet 4-course meal including a
40-cheese trolley, you can easily work them off, regardless of weather!

The concept is that together they create a unique experience — that of Calorie Neutral !!!
