Steering Ardchattan to Better Buses..
From fear to action… what a difference a fortnight makes.
Just a short while ago our North Connel to Bonawe, and Benderloch, residents were being threatened with life altering cuts to our local bus service. A ferocious response from the people who live here and who would be directly affected every day saw Argyll and Bute Council withdraw and promise a full and open consultative process for any future service considerations.
But the reaction locally illustrated that the current services had plenty of shortcomings.
A bit of research showed that all sorts of options might be possible.
So a group of residents along the North Connel to Bonawe road have set the ball rolling into what EXACTLY the needs of our local community are. To this end they will be out and about in the next few weeks delivering and collecting a short survey for you all to fill in.
Several simple but vital questions need your careful attention. Consider what you would really like fro a local bus service, describe the current problems and the effect the service has on your life.
Think outside the box, what could the bus service provide?
Think about events, family, education, work, places, people, connections and share what you would like to see.
