Fungi Talk in Benderloch 8th March

Lorn Natural History Group talk : The Lost and Found Fungi projecton
8 March at 14:00 in Victory Hall, Benderloch

Talk by Brian Douglas detailing the basics behind the project, what’s been achieved so far, and future plans. Also a section on DNA barcoding for supporting work by local groups such as our own.

LNHG members have found several of LAFF’s top target rarities, particularly on Lismore, and currently have another two specimens awaiting DNA analysis, one of which may be a first for Britain. We and LAFF are keen to work together to discover and identify more rarities in this under-recorded part of the country.

This talk is part of Brian’s 2-day workshop but you are welcome to attend the talk regardless of whether you attend the rest of the workshop.
