North Connel and District Horticulture
It was a great afternoon, yesterday, at the Plant Sale with just about all the plants being eagerly scooped up within the first half an hour, leaving plenty of time for all to leisurely enjoy Fiona’s renowned home baking and teas. Once again, superb, and so efficiently assisted by many helpers.

Ardchattan – up close and personal
Having, for years, only had a fuzzy topographical coverage by google maps, it seems that we have now joined the rest of the UK.
Google Street view has just been updated, now covering around 95% of the country, they say.

MV Amanda, a Dutch registered General cargo ship built in 2005, visited Bonawe Quarries last week.
Pictures show her passing under Connel Bridge and moored off Achnacree Bay.
