   Benderloch has had two great nights of entertainment recently, both the Victory hall, each billed as a “folk night” and bringing together some great musicians to play.

   Organisers ACA – the Arts and Culture in Ardchattan have put the events on by way of expanding the use of the hall and also raising some funds to promote Theatre and Music in the area.

   Local Guitarist, Colin Gruber has been central to each event bringing along some of his pals who love to get together for a “session.” Colin has a strong background as a fine entertainer having played many local venues over the years including the old Lynn of Lorne Hotel here in Benderloch.

   The last event in November brought a great night of entertainment with superb Clarsach playing delighting the audience supported by guitar, mandolin,bodhran and harmonica as well as top class vocal talents.

   So what’s next for the music and culture scene? Well another Folk night over Christmas and New year has been mooted so keep your eye on the diary . Next year in the Spring, ACA will promote Scottish Opera and Mull Theatre. The latter are touring with their production of “Laurel and Hardy”
