North Connel and District Horticulture

It was a great afternoon, yesterday, at the Plant Sale with just about all the plants being eagerly scooped up within the first half an hour, leaving plenty of time for all to leisurely enjoy Fiona’s renowned home baking and teas. Once again, superb, and so efficiently assisted by many helpers.

Hopefully lots of money was raised towards running this years Horticultural show to be held on the 21st August. There are a few alterations to be made to the Photography Classes — we will get these out to you as soon as possible.

For gardeners and growers who want to get together in the local area throughout the year, the Garden Club is embracing the 21st century and has just published its first newsletter.

This can be collected, in paper form, from Kintaline Plant Centre or online here

There is also a new online community group for all Garden club members, and members of the Garden Club are welcome to join in. It is a place to arrange visits, chat, swop, find out what we need to do, and generally share our ideas and expertise.

New members are always welcome to join the Garden club — email for details
